Betting sites & exchanges
Any ranking of bookies stands or falls on its entry test, and this one has a single condition at the door: a Gambling Commission licence. Looks, size and advertising budget do not enter into it.
Names fall into a few families. The established high-street-style brands and the fresh arrivals sit beside independents, then come high-limit and no-limit sites, spread betting platforms and exchanges, the latter working under the betting intermediary licence. Per-type comparisons live in separate articles.
Because licensed operators run on .com addresses, an address cannot show who is licensed, whereas the Commission’s public register can. As for stakes, no statutory cap in sports betting is established; each operator fixes its own limit.
