Rugby, cricket & Gaelic
A bookmaker’s coverage of these games is a fair test of its depth, and the licence question has a regional twist that football lacks. This section keeps both in view.
Handicaps and winning margins dominate rugby union and league pricing, whereas cricket leans on match and innings markets; netball, hurling and Gaelic football fill out the range.
Only England, Scotland and Wales fall under the Gambling Act 2005 and a Gambling Commission licence. Northern Ireland is outside the Act. A Great Britain licence therefore does not regulate betting there, which carries particular weight for Gaelic games.
