Horse racing & greyhounds

Racing is where terms differ most visibly between bookmakers, so any comparison of sites ought to include them.

An each-way bet doubles the stake, because it is a win bet plus a place bet; places vary with the race and the firm, and the terms are read off the market. Horse and greyhound tips sit alongside starting price, ante-post terms, non-runner rules and the Rule 4 deduction.

Racing enjoys a distinct tax footing. When the remote betting rate of 25% starts on 1 April 2027, remote bets on UK horse racing keep the 15% rate, and a Horserace Betting Levy applies to operators’ profits on GB horseracing bets above a £500,000 exempt amount.
